Jenna Ebbers

I am a senior journalism major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I'm originally from the small town of Cambridge, Nebraska which is where my love for writing all started. I fell in love with journalistic writing as a sophomore in high school when I joined my school newspaper -- from there my passions only grew. I competed in the NSAA State Journalism competition for three years, becoming a State Champion in Sports News Writing my senior year. After that, I began working for the regional newspaper in my hometown, The Valley Voice, where I had the opportunity to report, design pages, photograph sports and do so much more.

In my first few months of college I wrote for the Daily Nebraskan, starting for the Opinion section and soon moving to the News division. As a junior, I spent a year reporting for the Lincoln Journal Star, which was a dream come true. At the beginning of my senior year, I left the Journal Star to work as fellow for the Omaha World-Herald for a semester! At the same time, I began my year-long term as the Senior News Editor for the Daily Nebraskan, our student-run newspaper, where I edit and assign stories and run the news section!
